About You
Thanks for taking the time to consider this interview. As you know, the world is full of websites that display resumes. But consider for a moment that you are not just your resume, and the best clients will never hire you based on your resume alone. You know that business is about relationships. You have the opportunity to establish those relationships earlier, by sharing something about yourself via your website. Think of these topics as conversation starters that shortcut the small talk early in a business relationship. By taking this interview seriously, you will give those clients a chance to find you as the perfect match for their legal needs. This interview may take one hour or five, so please dedicate some time to strategize. One effective strategy might be to click through the 6 pages and read these questions toward the end of a work day. Think about your answers through the evening, then get up early one morning to write your answers. You are also welcome to save your answers with an email and password, then return later to finish. The information and stories you provide here will be compiled, considered, and edited for publication on your new website. Even though this is called an interview, please know we are not journalists looking for holes in your story, we are here to tease out what makes you and your firm unique amongst all of the choices on the web. Feel free to use this activity more as a brainstorming tool, rather than a letter to the editor. As in, relax and tell us some stories you might share at a dinner party amongst friends. Our job is to make sure you are represented in the best possible light. We can do a better job for you with more material. Many Thanks, Alpine Internet Staff
About The Company
If you don't have one, please give us a bulleted list of values you think your work represents.
Something like a pro golfer, most people have ups and downs during their career, highs and lows. Oftentimes we have distinct areas of our work where we feel highly successful, while other areas are still developing.
Helping someone? Realizing where you are especially talented? If you were a surfer, when was the first perfect wave?
This section is about your formation as the professional you are today. How did you get here? It might help to think of this as advice to a young relative or student looking at you as an inspiration.
If different than your current location, where did you start?
Most superheroes have an origin story. This origin story can sound like a bird being tossed from the nest, a downhill mountain bike race, a ski jumping competition, or a marathon. Metaphors help communicate your own journey. Is there a story behind the formation of the organization? Why was it formed? For example, was it formed to accomplish a particular mission? Did the partners find they complemented each other especially well? Was there some form of the call to adventure?
Please tell us briefly what got you interested in your career as a young child or adult.
Think of two or three people in your professional life that have made a profound impression upon your work. Can you say who and why that is the case?
Please tell us about one special thing that you have learned working with other professionals with which you work.
We know you do great work on your own. Now, please tell us about a time when you have felt especially supported by your team.
Please think of and tell us one story of one of your colleagues that for you, would show the world what is special about the people and the work done with your team.
Here on the west coast, we are known as pioneers. In what areas do you think you have helped maintain that tradition of the pioneering sprit?
Do you know a great story about the history of your firm? Please share that here.
Clients know that people that work hard also play hard. Passions, hobbies, recreational habits demonstrate that you are curious about life, engaged, and care about long term goals. Of course, this can be civic contributions which express a particular passion of yours. For example, you might serve on the school board because you have a passion to ensure kids today have the skills they need so our region / country will remain strong in a particular area. Another example, you might participate in bird counts or wildlife surveys because you care about the environment. Thanks so much for your patience and your best answers. Before you submit your interview, please take a moment to review your answers. You can always hit "Previous Page" to review and if necessary, update your responses to previous thoughts.
