Your stream, on every page and every phone.

Connect your stream.
Bring the stream and playlist service you already use, or let us host the stream.
Your stream server, or ours
Plays your Icecast stream, or one we host for you. The stream address is a setting, so moving servers doesn’t take new code.
Artist and title, live
Now-playing reads your stream server’s status, splits artist from title and refreshes every 15 seconds. It’s cached at the edge, so thousands of listeners cost your server a few requests a minute.
On now, up next, all week
The program schedule and playlist come from Spinitron, with “on now / up next” on phones and the full week on its own page.
A player that stays put.
Listeners press play once. The stream keeps going while they read, browse and come back.
Plays across every page
Audio keeps playing as listeners move between pages, and even through a refresh. The header, the phone tab bar, the home page and story buttons share one play and pause.
Lock screen, headphones and car
Station and current track on the lock screen and car dashboard, with play and pause from headphones.
Listen to this story
Audio on news stories and inline clips in the same player, with seeking and the clip’s title on the lock screen.
Podcast players from a link
Paste a SoundCloud link into a story and it becomes a player.
Video pauses the radio
Start a video and the stream pauses, so two things never play at once.
An app with a Listen button
Installs to the home screen with your icon, and its tab bar’s Listen button plays and pauses the stream.
Running at KWSO 91.9 FM.
Warm Springs Radio’s app: the live player on the home screen, today’s program schedule, and stories listeners can play.

Know how people listen.
The player reports every listen to Google Analytics, so you see real listening, not just page views.
Starts, pauses and finishes
Every listen start, pause, resume and finish, marked live or on demand.
How long they stay
Milestones at 1, 5, 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes of continuous listening, and the seconds listened when a session ends.
Top tracks and clips
Each listen records the track playing or the clip’s title, so you can see which shows and stories hold listeners.
Devices and regions
Device, browser, app or web, and approximate region, from Google Analytics.
Staff aren’t counted
Signed-in staff are left out, so testing the player never inflates your numbers.
Coming next.
These are being built now. Tell us which your station needs most.
A monthly report in the admin
Traffic, listening and top content by topic for the station manager, without opening Google Analytics.
Listener counts over time
Your stream server’s listener counts, stored and charted: peaks, averages and time of day.
Podcasts, built in
Programs and episodes with Apple Podcasts feeds and transcripts.
Emergency alerts
Push alerts to listeners’ phones when it matters.
Streaming and reporting questions
Which stream servers and playlist services does it work with?
Icecast streams and Spinitron today. Using something else? Tell us and we’ll connect it.
Do you host the stream?
We can. We run Icecast servers for stations, or the app plays the stream you already have.
Where do we see listening reports?
In Google Analytics today, from the events the player sends. A monthly report inside the admin is in development.
Can we show sponsors listening numbers?
Not yet. Sponsor reports today cover impressions and clicks in your site and app, with CSV export. If your underwriters need listening reports, tell us.
Does it replace ratings or music royalty reporting?
No. It doesn’t produce Nielsen-style ratings or royalty reports such as SoundExchange, so keep the tools you use for those.
