About · Since 1999

Since 1999.

Alpine started in a garage in Sisters, Oregon. Today we build and run apps, portals and systems from Bend.

1999, for scale

The year we started:

  • Hotmail let anyone into any account with the password “eh”.
  • MySpace, Blogger, PayPal and Napster launched.
  • Facebook, YouTube and Twitter were years away.
  • Internet Explorer 5 was the new browser.
  • Billy Mitchell played the first perfect game of Pac-Man: 3,333,360 points.
